Dear Parents and Carers, Thank you for sending your children in with their water bottles and wearing loose clothing and sun hats today.
We will be ensuring that their time outside both today and tomorrow is very limited and in the shade. We will be spending lunchtimes indoors and classrooms are being kept cool with blinds kept down. Water will be available at all times and children will be encouraged to keep hydrated.
Yr 6 rehearsals have been cancelled and assemblies have been moved online.
A number of families have requested that they pick their children up early today and tomorrow. The school will remain open for both days but you are welcome to pick your children up at 2pm if you would prefer to avoid being out during the hottest part of the day - please come in via the main entrance if you are coming early, not the back gate on Gamston Crescent.
We will continue to monitor the well-being of the children throughout the day.
