Dear Parents and Carers, We are deeply saddened by the events taking place in Ukraine. As a school, we have decided to help raise money to support refugees fleeing the war.
We will be holding a non uniform day on Friday 4th March (this Friday) - children can pay £1 (or whatever you are able to afford) to come to school in non uniform. They can wear whatever they choose but may wish to wear something blue or yellow to show solidarity with those fleeing their homes.
Please don't buy anything special, we know you'll already be busy planning their outfits for World Book Day on Thursday this week (3rd March).
On Friday, children will also have the chance to take part in a 'Penny Mile' challenge. We're asking children to bring in any loose change you have at home (all coins gratefully received) and we will lay all the money in a long line around school. We're hoping to reach from nursery, all the way through key stage 1, past the office and loop past all of the classes in key stage 2.
We will also be holding a Cake Sale on Wednesday 9th March (next week) after school from 3.15pm. Please make or buy cakes for us to sell if you can, these can be dropped off at the main gate on Weds morning (there will be a table set up on the playground).
