We are starting to receive notifications of year 6 transition days from the secondary schools.
The secondary schools will write to or email you about arrangements for your child. These usually happen at the end of June/start of July and we anticipate many schools having their transition days during the week beginning Monday 5th July. This year, so far, our year 6 pupils are going to 13 different secondary schools throughout the city and county.
We want to take this opportunity to remind you to read the correspondence from your child’s secondary school carefully so you know the arrangements for the transition events. On transition days, you should make arrangements for your child to go straight from home in the morning to their secondary school. They should not come to Seely first.
If you haven’t received information about transition days/events by the start of June, please contact your child’s new school to enquire. At the moment we know:
- The Redhill Academy – transition day is Wednesday 30th June 2021
- The Bulwell Academy – transition week is Monday 5th July – Friday 9th July 2021
As soon as we receive any information from other schools, we will let you know.
