We apologise for the issues some of you may have experienced with booking for the year 3/4 basketball club running from Monday 10th May. We had a very high take up and as the letter detailed, only 25 places were available.
The payments site unfortunately doesn’t let us specify a time when we open a payment category, only a date and we didn’t want to say that payments would be available from midnight as we didn’t want you all feeling that you needed to stay up late to get a place so we said from 8am. We didn’t anticipate people logging on in the middle of the night to check (some at 2am) and booking places but this is unfortunately what has happened and caused the issues this morning.
We are speaking to the club provider to see if they can run another club on a different night for those who haven’t been able to obtain a space on this booking – or for another session to be booked in the autumn term, so we will let you all know if we can arrange this to try to allocate a space for everyone who is interested. In the meantime children who were unsuccessful or booked in a different category will be put on a list so that we know to allocate them a place automatically should another event be available.
We are thrilled that it has been so well received so we hope to be able to accommodate everyone who wishes to take part.
