DRAFT RSE Policy - for consultation

26 March 2021 (by admin)

Dear Parents and Carers, Please find link below to the school web pages where you find a draft of the updated Relationships, Sex and Health Education Policy and lesson overviews (scheme of work) and subsequent feedback survey.

As of September 2020 Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) is statutory in all schools. At Seely, we have been successfully teaching most of required content for some time, as part of our Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) and Sex and Relationship (SRE) lessons. The content taught will change very little.

We strongly believe that Relationships and Sex Education is best delivered with cooperation and support from parents and carers. We recognise that parents are the primary educators of their children, particularly where relationships and sex are concerned.

We’d like to take this opportunity to reflect on what we do and to ask you for your views, so that we can better meet the needs of all our children. Please read our updated Relationships, Sex and Health Education DRAFT policy in full, including the lesson overviews.

We are looking for your feedback, once you have read the policy and planning, please complete the parent survey via the link on the web page before Monday 19th April.

Thank you
