Important information about school places

8 January 2021 (by admin)

Dear Parents and Carers, Thank you for bearing with us this week whilst we try and finalise those children who are in school and our remote learning offer.

As it stands, if your child is currently attending our school you can be assured of their place for the time being. Our cut off point for notifying us was today and as it stands at the moment we haven’t had a further huge influx of requests for places. All vulnerable families have a confirmed place under all circumstances.

However, it is looking as though we may have to revoke some places from the children of key worker families if we get any higher in some year groups. We have a little flexibility in a couple of classes if we get further requests, but  we do not expect many. However some other classes are at a critical point with their numbers.

The government advice still says if you can , even if you are a critical worker, to stay at home and for children to stay at home. Therefore we are urging you to only take up the place going forward if you absolutely have no other option. We believe some of our families with only one key worker parent of two have chosen to keep their children at home in order to free up places for others with no choice. With that in mind, if you decide that you no longer need your child to have a place please get in touch.

Please remember that you can form a Childcare Support Bubble as long as it follows the Government guidance:

Thank you all for your understanding and support for each other as we navigate this situation.

Regards
